Several of us were presented with the Scientific and Engineering Award® for our work on the DLP Cinema projector as used in digital intermediates, though the same technology is used for projectors in theater exhibition.

I reserved this URL back in 1997 or 1998 but only recenty did I learn some HTML and get this site hosted. After 12 years at Texas Instruments designing optics for DLP projectors, from the DLP Cinema projectors to the prototype of the cell-phone sized "pico projector", I left TI in 2008 to become the director of product development for Schneider Optics, the US branch of the 95 year-old leader in cinema and industrial optics.
